DaRosa, the prettiest café in the Algarve
There are so many reasons why you should visit Café DaRosa in Silves. It has a stunning interior decoration, a beautiful outside terrace, delicious confectionary and a friendly staff. For me, it’s the prettiest café in all of the Algarve, but I guess I would even go just for the fresh lemonade.
DaRosa is a place where you can easily spend hours and hours. While sipping a nice drink, it’s a joy to watch people walk by or just read a book in peace. It’s lovely on a hot summer day, but perfectly suited for a rainy day as well.
Outside terrace
The tables on the terrace overlook the pretty square in the town centre. Across the square there’s the building with the amazing pink tiles. You can just see it behind the fountain. The arches, that provide shade, are painted in a nice, warm yellow. The palm trees and the choice of music will give you even more of a holiday feeling.
Interior
Who doesn’t love the blue and white tiles of Portugal? Inside DaRosa the walls are full of beautiful patterns and local sceneries. The decorative cast iron furniture makes it all the more romantic and the green plants give it that modern touch. In the back there’s a pretty corner with dark blue and golden details, from where you can overlook the outside terrace.
On the menu
Coffee lovers can choose from no less than nine different coffees, for example the Algarvian coffee with regional liquor and cream. Personally I love the fresh lemonades that DaRosa makes every day. Specialty of the house are the many cakes and sweets, most of them typical of the region. But of course the pastel de nata is not missing either. If you are feeling more hungry, you can choose from quite a few sandwiches and toast.
Where
You can find Café DaRosa on the Largo do Município 7 in the city of Silves. This medieval town in the Algarve is an absolute must see, even during a beach holiday.
More information
There’s a website, but it doesn’t give a lot of information. If you want to see more of DaRosa it’s better to follow them on Facebook or Instagram.
